Problem:

During the remodel of the Meadowlark Hills retirement complex, Scott Coon of KBS Constructors contacted Construction Solutions to to locate conduits prior to flat sawing for new trenches.

Solution:

Prior to Construction Solutions arriving at the jobsite the contractor cleared the area of debris and laid out the area requiring the conduit locates. The results of the scanned area showed 4 conduits running directly at the bottom of the slab with no cover. After marking out location and depths of the conduit and the bottom of the slab KBS contracted a concrete cutter to trench out the concrete. Scott with KBS then contacted Construction Solutions informing us that the layout of the GPR technician "Couldn't have been more accurate". The location of the 4 conduits saved expensive repairs that would have been the result if the conduits were not located with GPR.
