Problem:
The Lawrenceville School, located in Lawrenceville, NJ required
up-to-date drawings of all utilities on the 70+ acre campus.
The school had several as-built drawings for small sections
of the campus but no single electronic drawing with all utilities.
Many of these drawings were inaccurate and needed revision.
Many utilities were being hit as building expansion/modifications
were being completed. They needed to locate utilities for
the entire campus to produce one comprehensive file.
Results:
- Ground Penetrating Radar was the appropriate solution.
In coordination with our east coast affiliate company, Atlantic
Subsurface Imaging, Construction Solutions performed
a GPR scan to locate utilities across the 70+ acre campus.
All GPR utility targets were labeled with flags and then
digitally captured using in-house optical survey equipment.
3,500+ targets were surveyed to precisely layout the entire
campus. All data points were then imported into a DWG file
provided by Lawrenceville to provide them with a complete
drawing of all utilities with their own individual layer
in one file.
