Updating a Drinking Water Reservoir for the City of Portland
Construction Solutions and American Sawing and Drilling of Eugene, Oregon, worked together on the Portland Dam project. Construction Solutions provided the equipment design-build, onsite support and operator training. They developed a method of work to update a drinking water reservoir for the City of Portland. Once the method was complete, Construction Solutions was contracted to provide modified wire sawing equipment, training, and onsite support for the completion of the project. The project consisted of making three cuts through the dam face to allow the center section to be removed. This left a finished surface ready for installation of a new spillway and control gate assembly. Construction Solutions and American Sawing & Drilling efficiently completed the project in five days.
